Dhaka, Sept. 19 -- Habib Bank Ltd (HBL) has celebrated 50 years of operations in Bangladesh, commemorating half a century of trade, investment, and financial partnership since establishing its presence in 1976.

To mark the golden jubilee, HBL hosted a commemorative event in Dhaka on Wednesday, attended by regulators, prominent clients, industry leaders, and senior executive leadership, including HBL Chairman Sultan Ali Allana and President and CEO Muhammad Nassir Salim.

HBL said in a media statement that the financial institution has built a robust regional footprint aimed at facilitating cross-border banking as Bangladesh deepens its integration into global trade corridors.
