Hanif Enterprise Chairman Kafil Uddin dies
Dhaka, May 31 -- Mohammad Kafil Uddin, chairman of bus operator Hanif Enterprise and a former local government representative in Savar, has died while undergoing treatment in India.
He died on Sunday evening at a hospital in New Delhi, according to his brother Mohammad Hanif.
Following Bangladesh's independence, Kafil's father Zainal Abedin entered the transport business and established Hanif Enterprise in the name of his younger son Hanif.
A BNP politician, Kafil was elected chairman of Aminbazar Union Parishad in Savar on three occasions.
He also served as chairman of Savar Upazila Parishad.
