Dhaka, June 7 -- A Dhaka court has deferred the deadline for submitting a supplementary investigation report in the murder case of Inqilab Moncho convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi, setting Jun 17 as the next date.

The submission of the additional inquiry files was originally slated for Sunday.

Investigating officer Abdul Kader Bhuiyan, an assistant superintendent of police with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), could not submit the report on the scheduled date.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah fixed the new date for filing the report, according to prosecution official Sub-Inspector Md Rukunuzzaman.
