Government promises swift repatriation of five Bangladeshis killed in Qatar road accident
Dhaka, June 21 -- The bodies of five Bangladeshi migrants killed in a road accident in Qatar will be repatriated as quickly as possible, State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare Nurul Haque Nur has said.
The assurance came after the five expatriates died in an accident at Al-Shahaniya on Saturday morning.
They were identified as Jashim Uddin, 30, Jibal Uddin, 36, Mostak Ahmed, 30, Jubair Ahmed, 30, and Quader Ahmed, 24 -- all of whom hail from Gachbari village in Sylhet's Kanaihat Upazila.
In a condolence message issued on Sunday, the state minister expressed sorrow over the deaths.
"The sudden and tragic deaths of these remittance warriors, who contributed to the country's economy, are deeply painful," he said.
