Government moves to overhaul parliament's sound system after repeated glitches
Bangladesh, July 27 -- The government has decided to replace parliament's ageing sound system with modern technology to fix persistent audio glitches.
A high-level meeting has been held to chart out the process.
Leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended the meeting at the cabinet meeting room of the parliament building on Monday, according to his office.
The meeting covered the technical features and functionality of a modern sound system, along with how it would fit in with parliament's proceedings.
A detailed presentation was also made on the existing system and possible modern alternatives, along with technical capacity and an implementation plan for replacing the current equipment.
