Government moves Petrobangla chief to public administration after only three months
Dhaka, May 15 -- The government has removed Md Arfanul Hoque as chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) just three months after his appointment.
He has been transferred and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration, the ministry said on Thursday.
Arfanul, an additional secretary, joined Petrobangla as chairman on Feb 5 after serving in the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
A BCS Administration cadre officer of the 18th batch, he has served in field administration as a magistrate, assistant commissioner (land), and Upazila administrator during his career.
