Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has issued an urgent alert to ensure safe sea tourism.
In its warning on Sunday, the ministry said red-flagged zones on beaches are dangerous and entering the water in those areas is strictly prohibited.
It said the district administration, tourist police, beach workers and lifeguards are always available to assist tourists.
Visitors were instructed not to swim outside the safe marked zones or in places without lifeguard services.
The alert noted that beyond these designated areas, assistance is not available in case of drowning.
