Bangladesh, July 18 -- An autorickshaw driver who was wounded by gunfire in Gopalganj has died, bringing the death toll from the violence surrounding the National Citizen Party (NCP) rally to five.
Ramzan Munshi succumbed to his injuries on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He was shot around 2:30pm on Wednesday while driving his autorickshaw, according to his brother Imran Munshi. Bullets struck him above his right wrist and under his right arm.
Ramzan was admitted to DMCH later that night and passed away a day later. Two other gunshot victims from the Gopalganj violence, Sumon Biswas, 30, and Abbas Ali, 30, are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
