Dhaka, April 27 -- Four suspects have confessed in court to murdering customs official Bulet Bairagi, whose body was found beside the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Cumilla.

The suspects -- Sohag, Emran, Rahat and Sujan, all identified wit a single name -- gave confessional statements before Senior Judicial Magistrate Abida Sultana Moly on Monday, said Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Barua.

The court also granted a three-day remand for another suspect Ismail Hossain Jony after investigating officer Titu Kumar Nath had sought 10 days for interrogation.

Bulet, 35, an assistant revenue officer at Bibirbazar Land Port, had been in Chattogram since Apr 11 to attend the 44th basic training course.
