Dhaka, April 25 -- Police have arrested four people from four districts over allegations of online fraud by promising to leak question papers for the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

Munshi Shahabuddin, joint commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit, disclosed the arrests at a press conference on Saturday.

The detainees are Md Sifat Ahmed Sajib, 22, Md Salman, 22, Md Mesbaul Alam Mahin, 19, and Md Mohiduzzaman Munna, 19.

According to Shahabuddin, the CTTC launched the operation after monitoring a Facebook page titled "SSC-2026 Question Paper Leak Group" on Monday, a day before the examinations began.
