Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has been shown arrested in a fresh murder case, just a day after the High Court (HC) granted her bail in five other cases.

The arrest pertains to the death of interior decorator Selim Mondal, who was killed during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement last year.

Tarek Al Mehedi, additional superintendent of police, confirmed on Friday night that a Senior Judicial Magistrate court approved the police's prayer to show her arrested in the case on Thursday afternoon.
