Dhaka, March 4 -- The government has transferred three high-ranking Army officials to the foreign ministry for appointment as ambassadors.
They are Lt Gen Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Maj Gen Nasim Parvez, and Maj Gen Mohammad Jahangir Alam.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Wednesday placing their services under the foreign ministry.
Among them, Lt Gen Kamrul was appointed as the general officer commanding (GOC) of the Logistics Area (Log Area) on Feb 26.
Before that, he served as the GOC of the 66th Infantry Division and the Area Commander in Rangpur.
Maj Gen Nasim had been serving as commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
