Dhaka, March 2 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) Convenor Nahid Islam has once again raised questions over the appointment of an interim government advisor to lead the foreign ministry.

He addressed the issue on Monday during an Iftar event hosted by the NCP in Chattogram.

Nahid, a member of parliament, said: "Our struggle against hegemony is not limited to Indian hegemony alone.

"We will continue to fight against any superpower that acts against the interests of Bangladesh," he said.

The opposition chief whip added: "We were distressed by the recent media statement issued by the foreign ministry regarding the conflict between Iran and the United States, following the killing of Muslim world leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
