Bangladesh, July 15 -- A fire has broken out at the warehouse of a garment factory inside the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj.

Nine units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence brought the blaze under control after about three hours of firefighting efforts.

The fire started around 4:15am on Wednesday in the fabric warehouse of Ananta Apparels, said Miron Mia, Senior Station Officer of the Adamjee Fire Station.

Speaking around 10am, he said: "Nine firefighting units managed to bring the fire under control after three hours of efforts. We are now carrying out damping operations. Some parts inside the warehouse are still smoldering, but there is no longer any risk of the fire spreading."
