Dhaka, March 22 -- Faisal Karim Masud, the prime suspect in the murder of Inqilab Moncho leader Sharif Osman bin Hadi, has denied any involvement in the killing after being produced before a West Bengal court.
Faisal and his associate Alamgir Hossain were presented at the Bidhannagar Court on Sunday following the expiry of their 14-day remand.
According to a report by the Indian media outlet Sangbad Pratidin, Faisal claimed while standing in the court that he did not commit these acts and "was not involved" at any length.
The court subsequently granted the West Bengal Police Special Task Force (STF) another 14 days of custody to continue their interrogation.
