Dhaka, March 3 -- Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has announced that the government will enact new legislation to curb cheating using digital devices in public examinations.
The minister reaffirmed the government's "zero-tolerance" stance on malpractice during an exchange of views with education board chairmen and ministry officials on Tuesday, ahead of the SSC and equivalent exams.
A ministry media statement said Milon issued a stern warning to exam centre officials regarding their responsibilities.
"Even if cheating materials are found in examination centre toilets, the centre authorities will be held accountable," the minister said.
