Dhaka, March 18 -- The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will be held at the old trade fair ground in Agargaon at 8am on Eid day.

It, however, will not be followed by a jubilant procession, as had been held last year.

About 10,000 people will be able to offer Eid prayers at the ground simultaneously, DNCC Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton said on Wednesday after visiting the venue.

Last year, the DNCC brought out an Eid procession, and held cultural programmes alongside a fair at this ground following the Eid congregation.

The Eid congregation of the Dhaka South City Corporation will be held at the National Eidgah near the High Court.

Asked about this year's plans for the event, Milton said: "...
