Dhaka, June 1 -- Despite the rise in fuel oil prices in the international market due to the West Asia crisis, the government has kept the price of diesel unchanged to reduce pressure on the public purse, according to State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit.

He said that diesel accounts for approximately 66 percent of the total fuel oil consumption in Bangladesh.
