Dhaka, March 9 -- The Bangladesh government has expressed deep concern after two Bangladeshis were killed and several others injured in an aerial attack in Saudi Arabia's Al-Kharj Governorate.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs identified the victims as Bacchu Miah of Kishoreganj's Katiadi, and Mosharraf Hossain of Tangail's Sakhipur.

The incident occurred on Sunday when a projectile struck a residential building housing employees of a maintenance and cleaning company in Al-Kharj.

Saudi Civil Defence initially reported that the strike killed one Bangladeshi and one Indian national.

At least 12 people were injured in the attack, according to Saudi authorities.
