Dhaka, April 9 -- Dhaka South City Corporation has sealed around 100 illegal bus counters in the Syedabad Bus Terminal area on the second consecutive day of an eviction drive.

Authorities also cleared both sides of the GPO Link Road beside Baitul Mukarram Market, removing encroachments from roads and footpaths.

According to a DSCC statement, executive magistrates conducted the drives through two separate mobile courts on Thursday.

The statement said nearly 100 illegal bus counters at the Syedabad terminal were sealed, while long-standing illegal structures built on footpaths were demolished.
