Dhaka sees 110 mm of rain in 27 hours, waterlogging expected
Bangladesh, July 13 -- Dhaka has seen 110mm of rain in the 27 hours from 6am on Sunday to 9am on Monday.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has warned of another day of heavy rain alongside waterlogging in several parts of the capital.
A BMD heavy rainfall warning on Monday said that, due to the influence of active monsoon winds, heavy to very heavy rain may occur at places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions for the 24 hours from 11am on Monday.
Places in the Dhaka metropolitan area may see waterlogging due to the rain, it added.
