Dhaka, April 6 -- Dhaka police have issued a seven-day ultimatum to remove all inter-district night coach counters operating outside the capital's three designated bus terminals, citing worsening congestion and illegal operations.

In a notice issued on Sunday night, acting Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Sarwar urged operators to relocate their counters to Gabtoli, Mohakhali, or Sayedabad within the stipulated timeframe.

According to the DMP, no inter-district bus services will be allowed to operate from any other location within the city after the deadline.

Operators have been asked to dismantle or relocate unauthorised counters voluntarily.
