Dengue death toll hits 250
Dhaka, Oct. 2 -- Bangladesh has reported another death from dengue, taking the total toll in the official count to 250 this year.
Another 1,163 hospital admissions from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease have been logged in the latest 24-hour count, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The health directorate bulletin said on Friday that 80 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 45 in Dhaka South during the period.
Outside the two city corporations, 295 patients were admitted in other hospitals across Dhaka Division.
In addition, Chattogram recorded 333 new admissions, while Barishal reported 151, Khulna 111, Mymensingh 77, and Rangpur 71.
