Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- Bangladesh has reported six more dengue deaths in a 24-hour count, while 1,868 new patients have been admitted to hospitals with the mosquito-borne disease.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the latest deaths have taken the country's dengue toll this year to 201.

September has seen the highest number of dengue deaths this year, with 104 fatalities so far.

Of the new hospital admissions, 173 were reported in hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 179 in Dhaka South. Another 405 patients were admitted to hospitals elsewhere in Dhaka Division.
