Dhaka, April 15 -- Daffodil International University (DIU) is set to organise AI Hackathon 2026, aiming to promote innovation and technology-driven problem-solving among young students.

The event is being organised in collaboration with the World AI Alliance (WAA) on Jul 11-12 at its permanent campus in Daffodil Smart City, read a media statement.

A press conference announcing the initiative was held on Apr 15 at the university campus in Birulia, Savar.

World AI Alliance President and CEO of ScaleBuild AI Ujjal Roy, DIU Board of Trustees Chairman Md Sabur Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohammad Masum Iqbal, and Registrar Mohammad Nadir Bin Ali attended the event, according to the statement.
