Bangladesh, Aug. 25 -- A Chattogram court has accepted a chargesheet against 39 people, including Sanatani Jagaran Jote spokesman Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, over the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.

Metropolitan Magistrate SM Alauddin issued the order on Monday after a hearing attended by the victim's father, Jamal Uddin.

The court also issued arrest warrants for suspects still on the run.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury said that investigators had sought to drop the name of suspect Sukanta Dutta, citing incomplete details. However, the court ruled to keep him on the list.
