Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- A crude bomb has exploded in front of the old Ramna Police Station in Dhaka's Bailey Road.

The blast occurred around 8pm on Friday, according to Sheikh Jahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of the police's Ramna Division.

He said two people on a motorcycle came to the spot, threw the improvised explosive, and drove off.

There were no casualties, Jahidul said.

"Police are examining CCTV footage to identify those involved," he added.
