Dhaka, April 16 -- In a desperate bid to get rid of pox infections, a crow checked into Banshkhali Upazila Veterinary Hospital in Chattogram.

Upazila Livestock Officer Supan Nandi told bdnews24.com that the crow perched on his office window Wednesday morning.

"We noticed it after our arrival at work."

Netizens appreciated the medics for treating the crow after the incident went viral on social media.

The crow, which Supan described as neither very young nor very old, was cawing but it stayed calm despite the office staffers approaching it.

Primary assessment revealed that it was infected with pox, with its eyes and skin swelling, he said.
