Dhaka, June 23 -- Portuguese goal-machine Cristiano Ronaldo has etched his name into football history, becoming the first player to score in six different World Cups.

The 41-year-old striker reached the landmark in the sixth minute of Portugal's Group K tie against Uzbekistan in Houston on Tuesday, finishing first time from a João Cancelo cross to put the ball into the net.

It also ended a 10-match goal drought for the Portuguese superstar in major international tournaments.

It was his 144th international goal in his 230th appearance, both of which are records in men's internationals.
