Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- A Sirajganj court has sentenced seven men to life imprisonment in a 13-year-old murder case in Shahjadpur Upazila.

Judge Kaniz Fatema of the Additional District and Sessions Judge's Court delivered the verdict on Sunday, Additional Public Prosecutor Golam Sarwar Khan said.

Those sentenced are Waz Ali, Abdul Hamid, Arshed Ali, Abdus Samad, Md Kunu, Idris Ali and Selim Reza -- all from Potajia village.

Each convict was also fined Tk 20,000, with an additional two months in prison in case of non-payment.
