Dhaka, March 24 -- A Dhaka court has granted bail to former social welfare minister Rashed Khan Menon, former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, and former Supreme Court justice AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik in a defamation case involving derogatory remarks about late president Ziaur Rahman.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Raunak Jahan Taki passed the order on Tuesday in the presence of the three high-profile suspects.

During the session, the court formally recorded the arrest of Inu in connection with the case.

Menon and Justice Manik had previously been shown arrested in the same case on Jan 21.
