Bangladesh, Sept. 23 -- The condition of four firefighters burnt while tackling a warehouse blaze in Gazipur's Tongi is critical, according to Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

He visited the injured firemen at Dhaka's National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Tuesday and pledged that the government would ensure the "highest standard of treatment".

"Four people were burnt in yesterday's incident, with two of them seriously injured. As you know, this is a hospital at international standards. The quality of treatment is very good. Even then, the government will provide all kinds of support. There will be no negligence. The highest possible measures will be taken."
