Dhaka, Oct. 24 -- A clash has broken out between two groups of the National Citizen Party (NCP) during a coordination meeting of its Dhaka metropolitan and Dhaka district units, reportedly over a financial dispute, leaving one person "injured".

The incident occurred on Friday evening at the Shaheed Abu Sayed Convention Centre in Dhaka's Shahbagh.

Party members said Mohammad Yusuf, an NCP activist from Bangshal Police Station unit, sustained a "head injury" during the scuffle.

Saleh Uddin Sifat, joint office secretary of the party's Secretariat Cell, told bdnews24.com: "A brief altercation took place between members of two thana units. Many stepped in to stop it, and the matter has since been resolved."
