Chittagong University calls off Wednesday classes, exams amid heavy rain
Bangladesh, July 8 -- Chittagong University has suspended all classes and examinations as torrential rain continued to disrupt transport to the campus.
The move comes after severe weather left parts of Chattogram waterlogged.
On Wednesday, the university announced that all academic activities would remain suspended for the day.
An announcement signed by Acting Registrar Prof Mohammed Saiful Islam said the decision had been taken because of adverse weather, waterlogging and transport problems.
Heavy rainfall has continued across Chattogram on Wednesday, a day after the port city recorded its highest daily rainfall in 42 years.
