Dhaka, Feb. 16 -- The Chief Advisor's Principal Secretary M Siraz Uddin Miah has resigned.
The chief advisor's press aide Shafiqul Alam said the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification about the resignation on Monday.
Two days after the general election, the interim government on Saturday cancelled the contract of Sheikh Abdur Rashid, who had been serving as cabinet secretary.
Later, another notification assigned the additional charge of cabinet secretary to Siraz.
The responsibility was later handed over to Nasimul Ghani on Monday.
Following the change of government after the July Uprising, Siraz was appointed principal secretary to the chief advisor for two years on Oct 2, 2024.
