Dhaka, May 2 -- A fatal road accident in Netrokona's Purbadhala has claimed two lives and left three others injured after a bus collided head-on with a CNG autorickshaw.

The accident occurred in Ilashpur, near the Fire Service and Civil Defence office on the Shyamganj-Durgapur road, around 8am on Saturday, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Rafiqul Islam of Purbadhala Police.

The victims have been identified as Ainal Haque, 57, a resident of Dakshin Kaldoar village, and an unidentified man estimated to be 50 years old.

The injured -- Molla Miah, Dr Sara Tabassum Urmi, and Monir Hossain -- were treated at Purbadhala Upazila Health Complex.
