Body of Bangladeshi man recovered in Lebanon strike, another feared trapped under debris
Dhaka, May 13 -- A Bangladeshi worker has been killed and another remains missing after an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon, with the Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut confirming the recovery of one dismembered body and saying the second victim may still be trapped under rubble.
The information was shared on Wednesday night in a statement issued by Mohammad Anwar Hossain, first secretary (labour) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Lebanon.
The statement said Lebanese Army personnel and the Lebanese Red Cross recovered a dismembered body from the strike site on Wednesday.
The body was identified as that of Shuvo Kumar Das by another Bangladeshi worker present in the area. The remains have been kept at a Nabatieh hospital.
