Bodies of couple, newborn found in locked room in Ashulia
Bangladesh, Sept. 5 -- Police have recovered the bodies of a man, his wife and their newborn from a locked room in Savar's Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
Investigators initially suspect the three were killed in a planned attack.
The bodies were recovered late on Friday from a room on the first floor of a four-storey building owned by Haji Hazrat Ali in Madhya Jamgora, Ashulia Police Station chief Mohammad Tariqul Islam said.
Neighbours told police the family had recently rented the room and usually kept its doors and windows closed.
They alerted police after noticing a foul smell coming from inside on Friday.
Officers broke open the lock and found the three bodies.
