Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- The BNP's central office in Dhaka's Naya Paltan is abuzz with activity as Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made his first visit since the party's election victory, ending days of post-poll quiet.

Fakhrul, now serving as the local government ministe, arrived at the office around 11am on Monday.

At the main gate, Assistant Office Secretary Munir Hossain, Tarikul Islam Tenzing and BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan welcomed him with bouquets. He then went up to his chamber on the third floor.

Inside, Executive Committee member Saleh Uddin, Tapan Kumar Majumdar, vice-president of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Welfare Front, and other staff members also greeted him with flowers.
