Dhaka, April 6 -- The BNP government is set to hold its first meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at the Secretariat in Dhaka.

Scheduled for a 10:30am start on Monday, the session will be presided over by Prime Minister and ECNEC Chair Tarique Rahman.

The discussion is set to include 17 major projects.

Traditionally, ECNEC meetings are held at the NEC conference hall in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, where the government sets development priorities, approves budgets, and monitors project progress.

This time, however, the planning ministry announced the meeting will take place in the cabinet chamber of the Secretariat.
