Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced a series of immediate and long-term measures in response to the recent recurrence of mechanical faults in several of its flights.

In a press release on Tuesday morning, the state-run airline said: "Biman authorities are giving the highest priority to maintaining passenger safety and service quality, ensuring a full investigation and accountability for every incident."

In recent weeks, several Biman flights have faced technical glitches, with Boeing aircraft being the most affected.

The latest incident occurred on Aug 11, when a Dash-8 Q400 aircraft on the Dhaka-Chattogram route suffered a mechanical failure.
