Dhaka, June 6 -- The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has foiled an attempt to push 33 men and women into Bangladesh through three separate border points in Lalmonirhat.

According to the BGB 15 Media Cell, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) later returned the individuals to its own territory in the face of strict surveillance, increased patrols, and strong positioning by BGB troops.

Earlier on Friday morning, the BGB identified the presence of 33 suspected individuals across three border locations.

These included 11 people at the Barkhata border under the Teesta Battalion (61 BGB), 10 at the Poyshottobari border in Patgram, and 12 at the Dighaltari-Durgapur border area in Aditmari Upazila.
