Bangladesh, Sept. 9 -- Gas supply will be suspended for eight hours in Basabo, Khilgaon, Shahjahanpur and several other areas of Dhaka on Thursday.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company will suspend the supply for valve installation on both sides of the railway tracks at Shahjahanpur rail crossing, as well as tie-in work to relocate a distribution line for the Dhaka Elevated Expressway project.

The state-owned gas distributor said on Wednesday that the supply will remain suspended from 1pm to 9pm on Thursday in Basabo, Khilgaon, Madartek, Shahjahanpur, Sipahibagh, Tilpapara, Malibagh, Shantibagh and Taltala Market.

Gas supply to all residential and commercial customers in these areas will remain suspended during this period....
