Dhaka, March 2 -- Bangladesh's state-owned flag carrier "MV Banglar Joyjatra" has been left stranded at the Port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

On Monday, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) Managing Director M Mahmudul Malek told bdnews24.com that the vessel is currently berthed at the port's jetty.

He said the crew were advised to remain cautious and stay safe. "All sailors on board are safe and are maintaining regular contact with their family members."

Unloading operations from the ship have been halted amid rising regional tension.

The vessel, owned by the BSC, has 31 Bangladeshi sailors on board.
