Dhaka, May 18 -- A Bangladeshi student has been killed in a road accident in South Korea's Yongin City.

The deceased, identified as Mahmud Hasan, 24, hailed from Narsingdi Sadar Upazila in Bangladesh. He was a sixth-semester student in the Department of Business Administration at Daejin University.

According to reports published in South Korean media, the accident occurred early on Sunday morning at an intersection in the Jenggung-ri area of Yongin City.

Local newspaper Gyeonggi Ilbo stated that Hasan was driving himself home after finishing work that day. While passing through a roundabout in the Jenggung-ri area, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to "excessive speed."
