Dhaka, March 2 -- A Bangladeshi expatriate has been killed and two others injured after missile debris struck a shipyard near Bahrain's capital Manama amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Bahrain Md Rais Hasan Sarower confirmed the development on Monday.
The dead man was identified as Mohammad Tarique, 48, from Azimpur Union in Sandwip Upazila of Chattogram.
The injured are Md Azim, also from Sandwip, and Md Kamrul from Tangail district.
All three had been working as labourers at a shipyard near Manama.
According to the ambassador, debris from a missile fell onto a vessel at the yard on Monday morning, triggering a fire and leaving Tarique dead at the scene. The injured were taken for treatment.
