Dhaka, April 12 -- The Bangladesh government has welcomed the peace talks between the United States and Iran, describing the decision of both parties to sit at the negotiating table as a "positive" development.
Dhaka emphasised that a failure to reach a resolution would result in global repercussions, warning that "every country will be affected" by a further escalation of conflict.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam shared the government's stance while speaking to reporters at the ministry on Sunday evening.
The state minister underscored the need for intensified efforts to reach a concrete resolution.
