Dhaka, April 4 -- Amid tightening global fuel supplies due to Middle East unrest, Bangladesh has brought in another diesel shipment just a day after the previous consignment.

The MT Shan Gang Fa Xian arrived at Chittagong Port's outer anchorage early Saturday morning carrying 34,000 tonnes of refined diesel.

Port Secretary Syed Refat Hamim said the vessel, sourced from Malaysia, transported fuel supplied by Unipack Singapore PTE Limited.

On Friday, the MT Yuan Jing He docked with 27,000 tonnes of diesel from Singapore and is currently unloading at the port's Dolphin Jetty.

Together, these two shipments delivered 61,000 tonnes of refined diesel over two days.

On Tuesday, the MT PVIT Solana brought in 30,000 tonnes.
