Dhaka, July 1 -- One more person has died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the toll since January to 19.

In its daily update on Wednesday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 163 more people were hospitalised over the period.

A maximum of 13 died of the Aedes mosquito-borne infection in June alone.

The highest number of patients was also recorded last month at 2,907, followed by 1,081 cases in January.
