Bangladesh's historic Australia win sends 'strong message' to world, says BCB chief
Bangladesh, Aug. 16 -- The celebrations over Bangladesh's victory in Darwin have reached Mirpur, with pride and excitement filling the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium and BCB offices.
BCB President Tamim Iqbal sees the historic win, 23 years after Bangladesh last played a Test in Australia, as a glowing promotion for the country's cricket.
The Tigers dominated from the opening day before beating the world's top-ranked Test side by nine wickets.
"I think it is an extraordinary victory, an extraordinary achievement. Playing in Australia is difficult for any team. All the credit is to the players, and then some," Tamim told reporters in Mirpur on Sunday.
